Introduction
As part of the requirement for acceptance to the Teacher
Certification Program at New England College, students are required to
submit a portfolio. The portfolio contains materials that attest to the
applicants qualifications and ability to be a major in education.
Creating an electronic portfolio will demonstrate these same
qualifications in addition to providing evidence of the student's competence with technology in accordance with
the National Educational Technology
Standards.
This tutorial will:
- examine the purposes of
electronic portfolios
- explore examples of student portfolios
- provide guidelines in planning a portfolio
- provide a step by step tutorial for creating
an electronic portfolio
- provide a portfolio rubric
- list resources for further exploration
of electronic portfolios
